From the 1st century BCE through the 5th century CE, the Rabbis of the Mishna and Talmud introduced many radical innovations into the life of ancient Israel, innovations which began to create the Judaism that we recognize today. This mini-course taught by Rabbi Shapiro will explore some key examples of these innovations as well as the process that they used to produce them.
