"Roim Rachok" (Looking Ahead) is an innovative program designed to train adults on the autism spectrum in professions required by the Israel Defense Forces and the civilian market. Qualified young adults who want to volunteer for service in the IDF or integrate into the job market are taught professions for which they have a comparative advantage.
The next Eye on Israel, hosted by Sivan Cohen, Omaha Community Shlicha, will feature guest lecturer Jewish Federation & Foundation of Northeast Florida. Stav Brener will speak about his professional and personal military experience in providing adults on the autism spectrum the opportunity to enhance their strengths in core professions and enlist to the IDF.
Stav, 24 years old, served in the Intelligence Unit of the IDF for four and a half years. For the last two years of his service, he was the commander of a program recruiting soldiers on the autism spectrum.
