BANNED Author Jacqueline Woodson presents her memoir, “Brown Girl Dreaming,” and shares thoughts on censorship and finding her voice through writing. Her presentation begins at 2:30 pm, October 4, at Main Library. A book signing follows the presentation.

 

“Brown Girl Dreaming” has received the Coretta Scott King, Newbery Honor and 2014 National Book Awards. The Jacksonville Public Library selected “Brown Girl Dreaming” for the 2015 JAX READS community read in September.
