Shalom Y'all! Welcome to the new YLD website and YLD chair's blog. I wanted to start it with an informal greeting to set the tone for this new effort in the blogosphere. It's a chance for me to convey the excitement and passion I have for the work of Federation to you — as donors, as volunteers, as members of the Jacksonville Jewish community. It is my goal to constantly provide you with meaningful answers to the question, "Why give to Federation?" The chair's blog is the place where I can keep you updated on future events, relive great success stories from our projects, and recognize the efforts of the hard-working members of our YLD group. I'll recount some of my mission experiences as well as those on the YLD steering committee. I'll also throw in some inspiring articles, some interviews, a little Jewish learning and even some opinion. It's all new, and we'll see how it evolves. Until next time...
