Happy New Year?

I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to 2011, but I am wondering, as a Jew, do you feel odd wishing each other Happy New Year when we do that on Rosh Hashanah, and we are counting the year 5771? "Happy Secular New Year" sounds worse, yet I hear people using that. I'd love your thoughts – send them to yld@jewishjacksonville.org.

A couple of our upcoming events will be really fun:
Wednesday, January 12, Mix’n’Mingle at Urban Flats Southside – join us for appetizers, drinks and good old fashion schmoozing with old and new friends.
Saturday, Jan. 22: A Mentoring Affair, featuring an evening with community leaders, will be held at the home of Stephen and Andrea Mail. It should be a fantastic night of learning and networking.

To RSVP to both events please contact Adam Bronstone at adamb@jewishjacksonville.org
