I'm eagerly looking forward to our first Ben-Gurion Society event of the year on Oct. 23. Laurie DuBow will speak to us about community engagement and Jewish leadership. It should be fascinating and I plan to take advantage of this rare small group discussion. For those of you who don't know what the Ben-Gurion Society is, it's a national initiative for young leaders who make a commitment of $1000 or more to the Federation's Annual Campaign. Embracing the spirit of David Ben-Gurion, the first Prime Minister of Israel, the BGS combines power, passion and resources to build a strong and responsible Jewish community.
