Price and Travel Information

What is the cost of the mission?

The cost per person is $1,375 based on double occupancy. Single supplement is $200.

What does my signature experience include?

  • Two nights in a hotel

  • All breakfasts and lunches

  • Ground transportation

  • Admission and programming costs

  • Tips

What do I have to pay for myself?

  • Air travel to and from Atlanta. All participants should plan to be in Atlanta on Saturday, April 15 (the mission will begin at 9:00 am on Sunday, April 16).

  • 2 dinners during the trip

What hotels will we be staying in?

Renaissance Hotel, Montgomery, AL

Hilton UAB, Birmingham, AL

Registration and Payment Due Dates

Registration will close on Monday, December 26.

When are payments due?

$250 deposit is due at time of registration, no later than December 26. Balance of $1,125 is due by January 30.

What is the cancellation policy?

  •  Prior to December 26, full refund.

  •  After December 26 and before January 30, refund minus $50 administration fee.

  •  No refund as of January 31.

Please note that there will be no exceptions or cancellation fees waived.

Do I need to purchase Travel Insurance?

We strongly suggest purchasing “cancel for any reason” travel insurance.  While we cannot recommend a specific policy, we highly recommend visiting www.squaremouth.com where you can explore various travel insurance options.

General

What if I keep kosher?

All group meals provided will be kosher style.

How many people are being recruited for this mission?

The minimum for the trip to take place is 20 and there will be a maximum of 50 participants.

Fundraising

Is there a minimum financial commitment to the Federation?

Yes, the minimum gift to the 2023 Annual Campaign is a dollar-a-day or $365 payable through December 31, 2023.

 

 

Prior to departure, there will be an opportunity for participants who so choose to share their feelings about the meaningful journey they experienced. This builds Jewish commitment, group identity and cohesiveness.  It also is a time to share what our Mission has inspired. People are encouraged, but not required, to speak at this sharing session. It is an open, comfortable, and safe atmosphere where participants may express freely and emotionally about their mission experience.
