Join Rabbi Cohen and explore the themes, development and engagement of the prayers that comprise the
Amidah. In the third and final session, class participants will be encouraged to craft their own prayers which
will be used as part Shabbat worship on March 21. This topic is near and dear to Rabbi Cohen, as he wrote his
Rabbinic Thesis on the Daily Amidah. He explains that his purpose while writing his thesis, "was to help
make prayer more accessible and meaningful to the pray-ers. I am hopeful that learning together is one
more step in realizing that vision". Attend one session, or all three. No prior knowledge is expected and the
community is welcome to participate. RSVP@TheTempleJacksonville.org or 733-7078.
