As we witness daily on all forms of media, Israel is once again engaged in a very difficult and important struggle with Hamas. Hamas' upgraded military capabilities put the vast majority of Israel's population within range of rocket fire. Over the course of the past month, more than 1,000 rockets have been fired from Gaza into Israel, targeting civilian populated areas. In just the past three days, more than 300 such missile attacks have occurred.  

During these frightening and life-threatening times, our international partners, the Jewish Agency for Israel and the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, are working round the clock providing what is literally life-saving services to the residents in the southern part of Israel.

The cost for the initial two weeks will be $10 million.

Our Federation will participate, along with all other Federations, in the effort to raise at least $10 million. Our goal is to raise $30,000 over these next two weeks. During every time of hostility or need, in virtually every town in Israel, every day, you will find a piece of Federation at work, helping those who need it the most.
