Purpose Statement:
The JCRC builds relationships to advance the Jewish community's values and interests and create a more interconnected Northeast Florida.
Thanks to the Together Strong Community Fund, the Jewish Federation & Foundation of Northeast Florida created the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) director position to leverage resources to ensure the Jewish community actively combats antisemitism and bigotry.
In 2024, chair Jennifer Plotkin, strategic advisors, and director Nelson France formed the committee. The committee identified priorities for 2025 and built relationships with elected officials, resulting in U.S. Representative John Rutherford and 20 officials participating in the October 7 Marking One Year Commemoration.
The Jewish Community Relations Council’s priorities are Student to Student, School Boards, the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance Working Definition of Antisemitism, JewBelong, Interfaith & Intergroup, and Community Volunteering.
