Message from our Campaign Chair
Your gift to the Jacksonville Jewish Federation lights up the lives of Jews all over the world. In Jacksonville, there are ordinary needs that only can be met through Federation’s annual campaign.
Everyday thousands of people are turning to the programs supported by the annual campaign. Our partner agencies River Garden Hebrew Home, Jewish Family & Community Services, Jewish Community Alliance, Jacksonville Jewish Foundation and our Jewish schools the Martin J. Gottlieb Day School and Torah Academy all work with us to ensure that these ordinary needs are met.
Federation’s annual campaign is the lifeline for Jews in need in 60 countries around the world.
In Argentina, 35,000 people received food, medicine and housing support
In Kiev, elderly Jews live on $15 a month—without funding from the annual campaign, many would have to choose between paying for food or medicine
More than one million people in Israel live below the poverty line, including nearly 25% of all elderly, more than 530,000 children and 25% of single-parent families
Everyday thousands of people are turning to our overseas partners the Jewish Agency for Israel and the Joint Distribution Committee. They can respond because of you.
Federation exists to ensure that we act collectively and responsibly to meet the needs and safeguard the freedoms of all Jewish people, wherever they may be. You can help by making your gift to the 2010 annual campaign, right now. Thousands of Jews at home and around the world count on us. I know I can count on you.
Live Generously--It does a world of good.
